Regarding the new Apple iPad tablet, Alistair Rennie, IBM’s Lotus general manager states: “Our customers are looking at the iPad and they’re excited about it.”
Rennie says IBM hopes to release business applications designed for the iPad “very close to the delivery date” of the device.
Rennie also mentions “the screen real estate and the touch interface should give us the opportunity to do some very interesting things.” That’s probably due to iPad’s specific business focused 1024×768 resolution and VGA connectivity (available via iPad accessories), commonly used for business projectors / presentations in enterprises.
