Παρατήστε τον Internet Explorer επιτέλους!

In a statement issued today, the German Federal Office for Security in Information Technology (known as BSI) recommends that all Internet Explorer users switch to an alternative browser. They may resume using Explorer after a fix is issued by Microsoft for a critical vulnerability that has been implicated in the Chinese cyberattack against Google.

If you missed it, yesterday McAffee released a report outlining details of the cyber assault on Google and around 20 other major technology companies. It specifically implicates a critical flaw in all versions of IE that allows hackers to “perform reconnaissance and gain complete control over the compromised system.” Microsoft has responded that it is developing an update to the vulnerability.

According to the statement from BSI, even running Internet Explorer in “protected” mode is not enough to prevent a hacker from exploiting this security flaw.

IE, while the world’s most popular browser, has been steadily losing marketshare over perceptions that it is slower and less secure than rival browsers, especially Firefox. This incident won’t help.

Ξέρετε τι μου τη δίνει; Οι πουστιές. Ευθέως και μη πουστιές μου τη δίνουν! Perceptions (αντιλήψεις) λέει κάνουν τον Internet Explorer να είναι πιο αργός και λιγότερο ασφαλής από τους υπόλοιπους browsers (πλοηγούς).

Όχι κυρίες και κύριοι! Δεν είναι θέμα αντίληψης ή έλλειψη αυτής. Σκατά έχετε εκεί που θα έπρεπε να έχετε αυτό που λέγεται εγκέφαλος. Ο Internet Explorer ΣΕ ΟΛΕΣ τις εκδόσεις του είναι το χειρότερο λογισμικό για πλοήγηση στο Internet (διαδίκτυο) που έγινε ποτέ. Το ίδιο και ΟΛΟ το λογισμικό που παράγει αυτή η μαλακισμένη εταιρία που ακούει στο όνομα Micro$oft.

Τέτοιο διάτρητο λογισμικό από πλευράς ασφάλειας δεν έχει ξαναγίνει. Όσο για την καραμέλα ότι το Linux και το Mac OS είναι χειρότερα όπως επίσης και τα προγράμματά τους, ιδού η Ρόδος... Αποδείξτε το. Όχι με θεωρίες του τύπου, άκουσα, φαντάστηκα, θεωρητικά και παπαριές. Με πράξεις! Δείξτε μου τα εκατομμύρια ή εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες προβληματικών Linux και Mac συστημάτων εκεί έξω. Άντε βρε. Περιμένω. Ακόμη. Εδώ και 10 χρόνια. Περιμένω.

ΖΩΑ!!!

Σημείωση γι αυτούς που βαριούνται να διαβάσουν, το πρόβλημα ασφάλειας επηρεάζει ΟΛΕΣ τις νέες εκδόσεις του Internet Explorer ΚΑΙ των Windows, ακόμη και τα Windows 7.

Επίσης, στο άρθρο που έδωσα παραπάνω, υπάρχει η δήλωση της γερμανικής κυβέρνησης που προτρέπει τους πάντες να μην χρησιμοποιούν Internet Explorer. Και η ελληνική κυβέρνηση το ίδιο έκανε έτσι; Το ίδιο και οι ελληνικές εταιρίες και τράπεζες, έτσι;

Μπεεεε... Τούβλα... Τρομπόνια...

Microsoft has admitted that a flaw in its Internet Explorer web browser enabled hackers to gain access to Google’s system, an event that resulted in Google threatening to pull its operations in China.

In a post on its Microsoft Security Response Center, director Mike Reavey said that a bug within Internet Explorer could allow hackers to remotely run programs on infected machines.

“Based upon our investigations, we have determined that Internet Explorer was one of the vectors used in targeted and sophisticated attacks against Google and possibly other corporate networks,” Reavey wrote.
