Even though the wireless unit of Verizon Communications started an aggressive ad campaign for its new Droid handset that directly challenges the iPhone, Mr. Seidenberg, Verizon’s chief executive, said he would be delighted to sell Apple’s smartphone.

“We obviously would be interested at any point in the future that they would be interested in having us as a partner,” Mr. Seidenberg said in a conference call Monday to discuss Verizon’s third-quarter earnings. “This is a decision that is exclusively in Apple’s court.”

Indeed, a J. D. Power & Associates survey found that Windows Mobile had the lowest satisfaction rating among customers of any smartphone operating system. The iPhone has by far the most satisfying software, the study found. Android is a distant second, followed closely by BlackBerry’s operating system.

Windows Mobile scored below average on every attribute, said Kirk Parsons, director of the study, especially in ease of operation, speed and stability.

Όσο για τα ΘΑ ΘΑ ΘΑ που θα κάνουν όλοι αυτοί οι αντίπαλοι του iPhone, καλά θα κάνετε να θυμάστε ότι και η Apple δεν θα κάτσει ακίνητη. Και η Apple ΘΑ ΘΑ ΘΑ. Αν μη τι άλλο είναι η μοναδική εταιρία που τα τελευταία 12 και πλέον χρόνια, δεν ξέρει καν τι θα πει η λέξη ακινησία :P
